Matthew 21:16
“Do you hear what these children are saying?” they asked him.
“Yes,” replied Jesus, “have you never read,
“‘From the lips of children and infants, you, Lord, have called forth your praise’?”
This past Sunday was Youth Sunday. While our youth help lead in worship in a variety of ways throughout the year (music, readings, A/V team, etc.), this past Sunday was dedicated to just hearing from them. They led the call to worship, played their orchestral instruments, read scripture, prayed, sang, and brought the message. If you weren’t able to join us in-person or online, please take the time to go back and watch the service on our website or Facebook site. It will bless you to hear from our youth.
Over the past few weeks, Nicole presented to our deacons and church council to catch everyone up on all things youth and kids here at PSBC. Did you know we have more than 132 youth and children flowing in and out of our church every Sunday and Wednesday? 132+?!?!? What a blessing. What an opportunity. What a calling we have as a church to love on these youth and children as a community of faith.
This Sunday our youth reminded and taught us about the Gospel:
– To stand up for our faith.
– To recognize the power of the presence of God even in the low times.
– To remember the faithfulness of God.
– To focus on the bigger picture of God’s plan while still finding joy in the small details and sunsets.
– To find Jesus right in front of us as we actively walk with Him.
Our youth reminded us that when we walk with Jesus, we get Jesus. From the mouths of babes…
Prayer: God, prepare us to celebrate Your Son, Jesus. This Easter season, help us memorize, pray, and sing your Gospel. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
Grace and peace,
Aaron
