Community-Wide Worship Week

Community-Wide Worship Week

Our Journey to the Cross

When our journey through the Lenten season concludes in a few weeks, we will have a great opportunity to join together in worship with fellow believers March 27-April 5! Over the past few months, the pastors from the churches in the Lattimore Group of our Greater Cleveland County Baptist Association have been planning a week of revitalization through reflection on the cross of our Lord Jesus.  The churches with which we regularly cooperate for our community Thanksgiving service will come together during the last week of March this year to encourage one another as we minister in a common field of mission.

Thanks for making plans now to be at as many of these services as is possible for you and your family as we walk together with fellow brothers and sisters and consider together the power of the cross to lead us.  Each night of this week-long event will convene at one of the six churches in the group at 6:30 PM on the following schedule.  The host church on each night will provide the worship leadership for the evening.  Take note of the schedule and prayerfully prepare to attend all you can:

Monday, March 27, Beaver Dam Baptist Church

Tuesday, March 28, Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church

Wednesday, March 29, Lattimore Baptist Church

Thursday, March 30, Crestview Baptist Church

Friday, March 31, Calvary Baptist Church

Wednesday, April 5, Holy Week Service, Poplar Springs Baptist Church

We look forward to our friends from the other five churches joining us during Holy Week for our Holy Wednesday and Communion Service.  Thanks for your hospitality as we welcome them then!  Thanks, too, for spreading the word about these special services to keep us focused on Jesus and the Cross as Good Friday approaches.  Members and guests from any church and all from our community will be welcome at each of the six churches as we gather!

A note about Wednesday, March 29 at Poplar Springs:  We will not have our regular Wednesday Bible Study on this night so that we can go over to Lattimore for the service.  We will be on regular schedule for supper, children’s and youth ministries so as not to interrupt this important ministry flow in the life of our church.  Plan to eat right at 5:30 PM and we will have plenty of time to head over to Lattimore Baptist Church.

Thanks for praying for this week!

In the Love of Jesus,

Tony Tench
